To be certified, learners must attend the one-day classroom course, achieve a minimum of 75% on the final test, and participate in 100% of the theoretical and practical lessons of the course to successfully demonstrate the skills and critical steps. Once the training is completed, learners will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide medical care in emergency situations, perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, and be able to identify when and how to use an AED. After successfully completing the Red Cross Emergency First Aid/CPR C certification training, participants will be able to:
CONTENT
  • Understand the history and purpose of the Red Cross.
  • Know how to prepare for emergency situations.
  • Understand EMS systems.
  • Be able to correctly use the CCC method. (Verification, Call, Care)
  • Identify and apply first aid in case of emergency for the airways, breathing, and circulation.
  • Identify and apply first aid in case of a cardiac arrest emergency.
  • Provide First Aid for Wounds.
